Google has also updated several features of their mobile app analytics to help developers track their campaigns far more efficiently. Google Analytics [GA] users get a new Sign-Up Flow that requires only 3 clicks to begin using this feature. Setting up an app analytics account, downloading the SDK, and tracking key metrics is a 3 click operation thanks to the improved sign-up flow feature.
Google has also created an entirely new SDK for Android and iOS platforms from the ground up. These SDKs are much more powerful and require hardly any effort or time to implement. Their new and improved SDK provides most standard mobile app reports in just a couple or more minutes of usage.
If you wish to get user reports based on people using old or new versions of your apps as well as get migration and cannibalization reports based on different versions, then the company offers detailed reports that provide data in graph and numerical form.
Google also plans to release a new feature known as Custom Dimensions in the coming weeks. This feature will be useful if you use Custom Variables since you will be able to set your own dimensions that can help channelize hits based on each custom or standard report in GA. Customized dimension values will help deliver specific reports that will help in customer data and business leverage. Lastly, you will not require retagging since you will be able to use the administration UI for naming as well as scoping Custom Dimensions.
Google has also improved its Google Play conversion report and improved its mobile device library by updating it and making it more accurate. Additionally, support has been provided for social interaction tracking and armv7s.
Google continues to strive towards integrating various tools and introducing new features and reports. These help monitor and analyze user trends in greater detail and with far more accuracy. The company aims to provide a better mobile app experience for mobile users with these new tools and features while helping you add value to your mobile apps.
