From Director’s Desk
Let me talk about Mobile Messaging today, as we all know that mobile messaging has never been more central to our lives, and these days there is an incredible amount of innovation happening with chat applications across the mobile ecosystem. Billions of people are messaging on daily basis to reach out their dear ones across the globe regardless of their device, carrier, app or location. However, the features available in SMS haven’t kept up with modern messaging apps. Rich Communications Services (RCS) has set a new standard for carrier messaging which provides many features that people are now expecting from mobile messaging as well like group chats, high resolution photo sharing etc.
Many leaders from the wireless industry says that Android can help in this revolution and they are already approaching mobile operators, device makers and the rest of the Android ecosystem in order to support RCS standards so that the process of deployment is accelerated in a more consistent way.
The Jibe Mobile team has already joint their hands with Google to help them bring RCS to a global audience. This process of deploying RCS to create an even better messaging experience on Android will take time and but Google has already taken their first step towards achieving this goal.
